News Item: : One Flown from MVA on Perryopolis Rd

On March 9, 2010 at approx 1949 hours the Washington Township VFC was dispatched to Perryopolis Rd near Rathway Trucking for a vehicle accident, vehicle rolled over pole and wires down. Rescue 42 marked en route with 5 volunteers. 32 Assistant Chief arrived on scene and confirmed one vehicle rolled over numerous times with pole sheared low hanging wires and minor entrapment. Engine 42 than marked en route, and upon the Rescue's arrival 42 Second Assistant Chief assumed command. The Rescue's crew assisted Rostraver West Newton EMS with extricating the patient. Stat MediVac 5 was called to the scene to transport patient to Pittsburgh. Station 32 Perry was requested to shut down the road at Rathway and Perryopolis Rd. All 42 units operated on scene until approx 2204 hours.
